"YOU SAY YOU WANT A REVOLUTION?!?"

Saturday night we were gathered at comintern central. This time, not for purposes of planning and drinking and playing, but merely for drinking and playing. Strategy was put aside for the purpose of celebrating ClassicalRevolutionPDX. 5 Years Old and Growing Strong!
The Waypost is where it all began and it was fitting that we crammed celebrants in the dark seedy interior to partake. The Waypost is where it's still happening every first Wednesday of every month, 7pm to 10pm. The evil genius behind this planned revolution, Mattie Kaiser, called on her bitches to foment mayhem. Two Schumann pieces showed up - neither in costume (it was also a costume party). The evil genius went through me to get Ken Beare to sing Ravel. Smart move; I think Ken came dressed as John Kay - one of the sexiest bad-boy lead singers in rock and roll. I played Svoboda's bitching "Storm Session" and in honor of this score, I nixed dressing up in all white and showing up as 4' 33", dressing up instead in a black wife-beater, black jeans, black cowboy boots and a thick nickel-corded snake arm band squeezing my right bicept.
YOU SAY YOU WANT A BADASS REVOLUTION????????
The Revolution scored Laura Downs as the featured artist. Despite the frilly dress and heels, the bitch can play!
The costume party was greatly enhanced with the presence of David Bowie, Brahms and the evil genius dressed as the Rite of Spring (although I just kept humming "Devil With A Blue Dress On" whenever I saw her). Brahms was a last minute show, spurred front and center by the second pitcher, I'm sure.
There were lots of toasts last Saturday. My favorite came from behind me, under his breath:
